This particular bottlebrush is usually grown as a small, single or multi-trunk tree. It naturally grows into an upright rounded crown, making it easy to manicure and maintain. As with the local bottlebrush it blooms bright red spikey flowers that resebmle a bottlebrush in spring and again in August. It is an evergreen plant, known to be quite cold and drought tolerant, and have adapted to texas soils quite well.
